Samsung to bring higher screen vividness to Galaxy S24 with next update

The Galaxy S24 series has been pretty successful so far, at least according to the record-breaking pre-orders that Samsung received. And that is because the new high-end phones are great in almost all aspects. However, there are a few issues that people have noticed, and Samsung is trying to get those fixed. One of those issues is the vividness of colors on the screen.

Next software update could add ‘Vividness' slider in color profile settings

Even with the Vivid color profile selected, the screen on the Galaxy S24 series doesn't show vivid colors. Instead, the screen displays closer to accurate colors, and Samsung said it was a decision it took. So, it was an intentional decision from Samsung and not a bug that some people were expecting it to be. However, after Galaxy S24 users started complaining about the lack of color vividness in the Vivid color profile, Samsung seems to have decided to change its decision. A change is reportedly coming to the Galaxy S24, according to tipster Ice Universe.

Apparently, Samsung will bring a new slider under the White Balance setting that lets you adjust the vividness of the colors. By increasing the vividness setting, Galaxy S24 users will reportedly be able to increase the vividness of colors and get colors similar to the Galaxy S23 series. If you like the current color profile on the Galaxy S24 series, you don't need to change anything. If you don't like it, you can adjust the settings with the upcoming feature. The new feature will likely be released with the February 2024 security update. That update could also improve the camera, which has minor shortcomings.

The February 2024 update has already been released to a few Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Samsung has already mentioned that it constantly takes user feedback from multiple sources and will fix camera and screen issues with upcoming software updates.
